NUEDIGITAL: a festival brand that checks itself
The Nuremberg Digital Festival runs 240+ events with 260+ partners and a striking key visual. The skill produces assets for every channel, live in a conversation: name an asset and it appears in seconds.
The challenge
The 2026 key visual combines a yellow figure, orange stroke bundles and a blue ground. The festival's rule: text always sits on yellow, never on blue. So every format needs its own crop of the master, which used to be found by hand.
The solution
The skill renders the official master and searches a crop for every asset where no text sits on blue and at most 2 % on orange. If no crop works in a format, it switches to the festival's second mode: yellow with a giant bolt.
Rules the skill knows
- Yellow #FFE600 carries the brand, black carries type and logo
- Inter Tight as the only typeface, headlines 800 to 900
- 14 strokes per bundle, -36 degrees, never mirrored
- Sponsor logos only as logos in equal boxes
- Date ranges like 14.6. – 24.6.2027 never break
- Preview watermark until the festival approves
How it was built
- 01
Material
The festival provided its design basics: the 2026 season style guide, the master key visual as a vector file, the colour palettes as an ASE file, the Inter Tight typeface and the year-neutral logo, plus 22 partner logos from the website.
- 02
Making rules measurable
The style guide became checkable rules: stroke angle and count, colour schemes, minimum sizes, where text may sit. Whatever is measurable, the skill checks on every asset.
- 03
Comparing with originals
Photos of the 2026 beach flag, roll-up, sponsor wall, festival cube and web header served as references. Every new format was placed next to its original until crop, proportions and logo size matched.
